2026 5-Day Preview Workshops
"I have had many requests to run a week-long in-person workshop this year (2026) to give students a taste of the apprenticeship program in 2027. This is an opportunity to engage with the material and community ahead of the full apprenticeship. I am happy to do so in a small group setting. Building community is an important part of the Hembrow School". Bonnie
1. The attendance at a Preview is mandatory for students planning on taking the Apprenticeship. It gives these students a taste of willow work, Bonnie's teaching style, exposure to her studio environment and relating to other students, prior to the 9-month commitment.
2. The Preview is also a stand-alone event. Bonnie will take students who do not initially plan to attend the apprenticeship, as space permits.
3. Whether taking the Preview for the Apprenticeship or taking the Preview as a stand-alone event, the next step after filling in the PREVIEW FORM is to fill in the STUDENT APPLICATION as a way for Bonnie to get to know you and answer any questions. A Zoom chat will then be scheduled.
Terms:
Tuition: $150 per day ($750 total).
Class hours are 9.30am to 5pm each day.
Materials: Materials fees are an additional cost or bring your own. If provided, the fee for the Lunch basket is $68 and the Bushel Basket is $95, for a total of $163.
Accommodation: Arrange yourself or share with another student. There is an Accommodation List available.
Meals: Evening potluck dinners or group outings to local restaurants (each paying for own meal). Students provide their own lunches. Potluck assignments will be worked out ahead of time.
To reserve a place, please submit a $375 deposit (applied toward tuition), at least 2 weeks prior to the workshop date.
